Tobogganing is a classic winter activity in Manitoba, and one which the residents of Lorette and the residents of the Municipality of Tache have been able to enjoy at the Lorette Community Complex for many years.
The toboggan slide which resides at the top of the tobogganing hill has been a fixture in the community. The piece of infrastructure though is showing its age and at the end of its lifespan. After careful consideration and consultation, it is the recommendation of the Recreation Department to remove the structure from the tobogganing hill due to safety concerns at the end of the 2022 winter season. This would still allow for tobogganing to take place on the hill moving forward.
However, prior to any changes being made we would like to engage with our community to hear your thoughts.
