Landfills in Canada are quickly filling up and one-third of landfill waste is made up of compostable materials. Diverting this waste from the landfill means that our facilities will last longer and our costs reduced. Grass and leaves are organics that should be and can be composted at no charge.
Yard waste can also be dropped off, free of charge, at Lorette Solid Waste Management Facility.
Branches are also accepted at the facilities and are chipped at no charge. To facilitate chipping of branches in a safe manner, it is requested the tree trunks/branches be no longer than 5 feet in length and do not exceed 12" diameter. If the diameter exceeds 12", we then request that the tree trunks/branches be cut in 16" or 18" lengths.
Credit card or debit card forms of payment only accepted at the facilities.
