Understanding my Utility Bill

Water & Sewer Bills 

Water & Sewer bills for both Landmark & Lorette are calculated quarterly. Bills are mailed out every January, April, July, October with the due date being the last day of the following month.

If you are serviced by water, sewer, or both and do not receive a bill every 3 months, you should contact the R.M. of Taché Municipal office at (204) 878-3321 ext 114 to avoid excessive amounts outstanding and penalties.

If you have purchased property midyear, please contact our office to make the necessary arrangements. Please note that it is your responsibility to inform our offices of ownership.

The water charge is based on the amount of water you use and is measured by the water meter.   The measurement is in cubic meters. ** Note:   1 cubic meter = 1000 litres or 220.1 gallons 

In Lorette,

The current rate per cubic meter of water is $1.80
The current rate per cubic meter of sewer is $0.90
Customer service charge is $23.20 per quarter  

If you are serviced by sewer only the charge is $59.35 per quarter.

The customer service charge covers customer service, billing, postage, and upkeep of the system.  
If your billing period is less/more than a full quarter, your service charge will vary slightly.

**Please note rates are set by the Public Utilities Board and not the RM of Tache. 

In Landmark, 

The current rate per cubic meter of water is $1.39
The current rate per cubic meter of sewer is $1.35
Customer service charge is $32.71 per quarter  

If you are serviced by sewer only the charge is $113.71  per quarter.

The customer service charge covers customer service, billing, postage, and upkeep of the system.
If your billing period is less/more than a full quarter, your service charge will vary slightly.
