The RM of Taché, along with Dillon Consulting, is working with community members, stakeholders and provincial partners to update the Municipality's current development plan to meet the needs of your growing community.
A Development Plan is a tool communities use to manage change and guide development over a long term time horizon (generally 20 years or more). It considers issues such as land use, population growth, infrastructure, recreation, economic development, and housing needs. It is a key Council policy document that guides how the community plans for the future.
An important foundation of any development plan is a community vision for the future.
Taché is a diverse, culturally rich, and age-friendly agricultural community. Its growing urban centres of commercial and residential development have efficient and focused services and infrastructure. Pathways and green spaces provide walking and cycling connections to enhanced main streets, community amenities, and recreational opportunities. Agriculture, resource development, and rural residential homes coexist in a peaceful, environmentally safe, and orderly planned manner.
